Elf Shoes

During the events of the game Sonic Heroes, Metal Sonic, after receiving upgrades that converted his body into a nanite collective, went insane and acquired a new form called Neo Metal Sonic. The "shoes" of this form were unusual in that they curved upward like an elf's shoes.

"Unusual" in this case meaning "extremely silly".

The whole thing has become something of an off-canon running gag at SEGAStH, with canon characters occasionally teasing Metal for his bizarre fashion sense.
