Guano

While it's a generally assumed but unspoken fact that villages make use of at least some of their waste to fertilize their crops, guano (aka bat droppings) becomes especially highlighted due to its plethora of uses in the real world. The joke goes that one of the characters in Meadowood, usually Lindy, follows Rouge around with a bucket, waiting for a deposit. It's also joked that Rouge isn't permitted to use the usual crap chute and must use a special toilet so her droppings won't go to waste.

Rouge herself is not so fond of this joke.
