Snerk

A word bestowed on the community by Leda that's spread like wildfire. A snerk is the opposite of a snort; that is, laughing through your nose on an exhale rather than an inhale. When one laughs in this manner, it literally makes a sort of a "snrrrrk" noise.

Some members, such as Jamie, have come to like using this word in their normal story writing, feeling it to be a less strong sounding alternative to a snicker or giggle, but more polite sounding than the word snort. Many of these members believe it should become a legitimate word.
